DANCE CLASSES
We take a great deal of pride in the fact that we are a traditional Dance Academy. We teach Dance.
Studio M Dance Academy offers 33 technique levels in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Contemporary/Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Styles (special needs) and Adult. We also offer our Performance Company which is open to all Academy Dancers and Competitive Company which is open to all Performance Company Dancers with placement auditions. There are different technique levels in each Company and they are determined by placement auditions and the instructors. Our program is designed entirely around teaching dance (and those elements connected to dance) and performing. Studio M’s program has produced many dancers who have received scholarships to colleges and professional dance programs. And has also produced dancers who are alumni to many local professional performances such as The Nutcracker and Cinderella performed by the Madison Ballet and Ballet Chicago. Alumni can be found on cruise ships, teaching at dance studios here and abroad, dancing at Disneyland and more. Many of our dancers have commented on that fact they have used the skills taught at Studio M to enhance other areas of their lives while at Studio M and long after they have graduated. We teach dance as a lifelong skill whether it be professional or non-professional.
With kindness and caring we create a safe and positive space for children to do what they love. Recreational, competitive and inspirational dancers are equally respected and valued in a positive family atmosphere.
